“ Visited Escala on a Friday night. From the get go the atmosphere was lovely. We had a lovely lady seat us. We ordered a nice bottle of white wine and browsed the menu. The menu has a selection of great choices. Every dish we had was stunning - attached photos with what it is. Really recommend the scallops & sprouts!! ”

We both agreed that the quality of the tapas dishes served to us were the best that either of us had been served in the UK. (The attached photos don’t do it justice...) The setting is gorgeous and the interior of the restaurant is tastefully decorated and reminiscent of Moorish Spain without being cliched. The service was warm and friendly and the staff were attentive. “ Could not be more impressed. Service was impeccable and food was faultless. Every dish that we tried was thoroughly enjoyed by every member of our party. We had a variety of dishes; ranging from the vegetarian offerings to the meat and fish dishes. Highlights for us included the Blue Fin Tuna with Som Tam and the Huevos and black pudding. Unfortunately we aren't local but would be back as soon as possible if we were! Thank you Escala! ”

“ Strongly recommend. Restaurant was fully booked and we got lucky with finding a table on a Friday evening. Everything tasted great and newly trained staff did tried their best accommodating everyone, manager was stressed but I’d like them to know they were great. One small thing that I hope they keep an eye on, our bread that came with Olive oil was not fresh. ”
